At least 20 people have died in southern Kentucky, with 10 more critically injured, after an EF-2 tornado touched down on May 16.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency and said that more than 100,000 residents were without power as of Saturday morning. The latest Kentucky storms were part of a May 16 weather system that also killed seven people in Missouri and two in northern Virginia, authorities said.
