Ties between China and the U.S. have faced a series of challenges in recent years. But people from both countries are still interested in learning more about one other, according to Shen Xin, vice president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Shen visited the United States last month and noted that many Americans still show a strong interest in engaging with the Chinese people and local communities, and remain eager to visit China.
He also announced that a China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival will be held in China this July, where young people from both countries will come together to sing for peace.
