As the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo opened in Ningbo, CGTN's Zhang Meng sat down with Meira Hot, vice-president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. During the interview, Hot highlighted Slovenia's role as one of this year's guests of honor and underscored her country's commitment to showcasing its strengths in the automobile industry and innovative technologies.
Hot expressed hope that the expo would help unlock greater potential for cooperation in trade, green development and tourism between Slovenia and China. She also praised the CEEC cooperation framework as "a really important initiative" that provides Slovenia with new platforms for engagement.
Calling China's invitation to the expo "a big sign of the deepening friendship" between the two countries, Hot also conveyed Slovenia's gratitude for the opportunity to further strengthen bilateral ties through economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
