May 23 marks the 74th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Xizang Autonomous Region. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, Xizang has achieved remarkable progress in economic growth, people's livelihoods, environmental protection and the development of Tibetan culture. In the first quarter of 2025, it's GDP expanded by 7.9 percent, 2.5 percentage points higher than the national average.
