At the Mayors' Forum held during the 4th China–Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo in Ningbo, CGTN's Zhang Meng spoke with Dejan Crnek, deputy mayor of Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. Crnek praised China's achievements in sustainable urban development, noting significant progress in areas such as traffic management, air and water quality control and intelligent infrastructure.
Reflecting on his impressions of Ningbo over the past decade, Crnek highlighted the city's rapid transformation and called it "a very good example" of sustainable urban planning. He emphasized China's leadership in green technologies, especially in solar energy and electric vehicle battery production, saying Slovenia is keen to explore cooperation in these fields.
Crnek added that bringing Chinese innovations to Slovenia could help both sides develop new joint projects. "This is already on our agenda," he said, expressing optimism about deepening city-level collaboration under the broader CEEC cooperation framework.
