Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's party swept the board in parliamentary and regional elections on Sunday.
The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela won 23 out of 24 state governor positions and secured 82.68 percent of the votes cast for National Assembly party lists, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The CNE said voter turnout was just over 42 percent of Venezuela's 21 million eligible voters.
