The inaugural summit bringing together leaders from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and China convenes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chinese Premier Li Qiang is scheduled to attend the event. The ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held their first summit in 2023 and are now joined by China.
