Under the leadership of Chen Dezheng, executive deputy director of the China-Pacific Island States Climate Cooperation Center, in collaboration with Liaocheng University's Pacific Island Countries Research Center, Tonga has received groundbreaking clean energy solutions. Household solar photovoltaic power generation equipment that can meet the needs of a Tonga family of five to 10 people, innovative solar units that can save families 60 liters of diesel monthly and skills training for local youngsters are just a few of the solutions birthed by the collaboration.
