Tuvalu is located in the south-central Pacific Ocean, just west of the International Date Line. The country's name means "the land of eight islands" in local language. Although it is made up of nine small ring-shaped coral atolls, only eight of them are inhabited. The capital, Funafuti, serves as the political and cultural center of the nation.

With its spring-like climate year-round and picturesque scenery, Tuvalu captivates visitors with its unspoiled natural beauty and the warm, genuine hospitality of its people.
