WHO: Many medical supplies in Gaza at 'stock zero'

00:47

A top World Health Organization (WHO) official has deplored that none of the agency's trucks carrying medical aid have been allowed to enter the Gaza Strip since Israel ended its blockade. For over 11 weeks, no WHO truck has entered Gaza for medical care support, the WHO's Eastern Mediterranean Regional Director Hanan Balkhy said at a press conference in Geneva. "The situation is devastating," she said. "The stock of the essential medicines list, we're at stock zero of close to 42 of essential medicines and vaccines. We are stock zero of close to 64 percent of medical equipment. "
