Relations between China and Pacific Island Countries (PIC) have blossomed in recent years. Trade between the two sides has increased significantly, with the total import and export volume reaching $6.3 billion in 2024. Medical cooperation between both sides has also strengthened in recent years. As of 2022, China has dispatched 600 medical workers to the PIC, providing free medical services to the local populations.
