China's Foreign Minister and Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Wang Yi will chair the Third China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on May 28 and 29. Upon invitation, foreign ministers or representatives from 11 Pacific island countries with diplomatic ties with China will attend the meeting.
Peruvian student Anna Paula Peralta Reyes has been studying Chinese for 11 years and previously studied at Jilin University in China. During her time in China, she visited Shanghai and Changchun, where she was deeply impressed by the scenic beauty and rich history – experiences that made her fall in love with Chinese culture. Speaking about China's recent announcement of a visa-free policy for Peruvians, Anna describes it as a great opportunity that will help strengthen educational, cultural and economic exchanges between China and Peru. She believes this growing connection will bring progress and development to both countries.
