The Taklimakan Rally charged into its sixth and final stage on Tuesday.
The 288-kilometer route traversed wetlands, Gobi and desert terrain. Chongqing Hoto Factory Team once again made a strong impression in the motorcycle category.
Martin Michek dominated the stage again with a time of 2 hours, 54 minutes, 54 seconds. The Czech rider and his Lithuanian teammate Arunas Gelazninkas, now firmly hold their lead position in the group.
In the car division, Liu Yangui and navigator Chen Feng of Shaanxi Yunxiang Club emerged as top title contenders. The stage victory went to Fan Gaoxiang and co-driver Fu Liguo from Hebei Qian'an Jiujiang Auto and Motorcycle Sports Club, completing the course in 4 hours, 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
The rally resumes Wednesday with Stage 7, a newly introduced 82-kilometer stage in Yecheng County, Kashgar Prefecture, featuring a mix of desert and Gobi terrain.
