Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with foreign ministers from Pacific Island nations including Niue, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Kiribati and the Cook Islands in Xiamen, Fujian Province on Wednesday. The Third China-Pacific Island Countries (PICs) Foreign Ministers' Meeting is taking place from May 28 to 29 in Xiamen. Foreign ministers or representatives from 11 island nations that have diplomatic relations with China are attending the meeting at China's invitation.
