On May 29, the "Global Mayors Dialogue Shanghai and the 2025 Shanghai International Friendship Cities Cooperation Forum" was held in Shanghai. Mayors and representatives from 26 of Shanghai's international sister cities across 22 countries gathered along the Huangpu River. Centered on the themes of "Green, Low-Carbon, Development, and Innovation," they discussed future-oriented urban exchanges and cooperation.
Ndeshihafela Larandja, mayor of Windhoek, Namibia, stated: "The 'Shanghai Window' project has enriched our library services, while educational exchanges have inspired our young people and broadened their horizons. Forums like this serve as invaluable platforms for sharing best practices, deepening cooperation, and laying the groundwork for a fairer and more sustainable urban future."
