A bridge collapsed early Sunday in the Zheleznogorsk district of Russia's Kursk region, derailing a freight train, said Alexander Khinshtein, the region's acting governor.
The collapse happened at the 48-kilometer mark of the Trosna-Kalinovka highway. Part of the train fell onto the road beneath the bridge, with the locomotive catching fire, Khinshtein said.
Emergency services are working at the scene, the governor added, noting that one of the locomotive drivers was injured.
