At present, nectarines are being harvested in Longchang Town of southwest China's Guizhou Province. Residents are busy picking, carrying and packing nectarines in the fields to meet market demand.
In recent years, relying on local favorable geographical and climatic conditions, local authorities have guided residents to plant more than 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of high-quality nectarines. Through standardized planting and scientific management, the products have become popular among consumers for their crisp sweetness and juiciness, with market demand exceeding supply.
Since 2024, the nectarines have had high yields, with the marketing season lasting from May to August. The income per mu (667 square meters) exceeds 10,000 yuan ($1,390), significantly driving income growth for local growers.
