Tensions are mounting in Paramount, California, following immigration raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security targeting undocumented immigrants. In response to ongoing protests, the Trump administration announced on June 7 it would deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles. Border advisor Tom Homan said the move aims to address growing unrest, as demonstrations entered their second day amid intensified immigration raids and clashes with police.
