Chinese athletes earned one silver and one bronze medal on the final day of the Asian Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Sunday in Jecheon, South Korea.
Huang Mingqi of China contested a close battle with Mahdi Olfati of Iran in the vault final. Huang's performance earned him 14.400 points, only 0.100 behind Olfati, for the Chinese to finish as the runner-up. Olfati's victory secured him the first-ever gold in Iran's gymnastics history at the Asian Championships.
Two Chinese athletes, Shi Cong and Tian Hao, made the horizontal bar final. Tian finished with 14.700 points for a bronze. Shi came in fifth. The gold went to Tang Chia-hung of Chinese Taipei with 15.233 points. Japan's Tomoharu Tsunogai took silver.
