Masterpieces of Orsay Museum unboxed in Shanghai ahead of exhibition

An unboxing ceremony to unveil masterpieces from the Orsay Museum in Paris was held on June 9 at the Museum of Art Pudong in Shanghai. The paintings "The Gleaners" by Jean-François Millet and "Bedroom in Arles" by Vincent van Gogh were unveiled in front of the press at the ceremony. These works are among over 100 authentic pieces by Western art masters, including Vincent van Gogh, Oscar-Claude Monet, Jean-François Millet and Paul Cézanne, which will be displayed at an exhibition titled "Paths to Modernity: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay, Paris." The exhibition is set to open on June 19 and will showcase the largest collection of Orsay Museum in China to date.
