Live updates: Air India plane with 242 on board crashes near India's Ahmedabad Airport

- The death toll from Thursday's Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad Airport in Gujarat has risen to 274, including 33 confirmed on-ground deaths, The Times of India reported on Saturday.

- Air India confirmed on Friday that 241 people on board were killed, with one survivor currently receiving hospital treatment.

- The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carried 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals and one Canadian, along with two pilots and 10 cabin crew members, when it crashed on the premises of a medical college.

- Aviation authorities have recovered one of the two black boxes from the Air India flight that crashed in Gujarat.

- The Indian government has launched a formal investigation into Thursday's tragic crash.
