Jointly hosted by France and Costa Rica, the third United Nations Ocean Conference is taking place in Nice, France, from June 9 to 13 under the theme "Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean."

Costa Rica highlights its extraordinary marine biodiversity, from the iconic Cocos Island to its Pacific and Caribbean coasts.

With a long-standing commitment to marine conservation, the country has expanded marine protected areas, safeguarded migratory species such as sharks and sea turtles, and promoted sustainable ocean practices.

This photo series captures the vibrant marine life that flourishes in Costa Rica's waters, an enduring symbol of the nation's dedication to ocean stewardship.
