Flocks of wild black storks, a species often dubbed the "panda of the bird world," have been spotted resting along the Sanggan River in Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It's a critically rare species, with only around 2,000 individuals remaining in the wild globally. In China, wild black storks are classified as a national first-class protected species. In the Shuozhou section of the Sanggan River, its population has grown from just two or three to over a dozen, and now remains stable at more than 30.
