The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) runs from June 13 to 22, spanning 10 days, with the opening ceremony to be held on the evening of June 14. 

SIFF has contributed to the development of China's film industry, as well as the growth of Shanghai's competitiveness and cultural soft power, while consistently meeting the demands of the general public who love cinema. This year's opening ceremony pays tribute to the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema. With an open embrace, it showcases Shanghai as a cinematic city where light and shadow interweave and urban vibrancy resonates.
