The Chinese Super League (CSL) resumed this week after nearly a month-long international break. Wuhan Three Towns beat Qingdao Hainiu 2-0 at home to earn their first victory in four games on Friday.

Three minutes in, Alexandru Tudorie went down after minimal contact from Qingdao defender Liu Jiashen. After consulting with the VAR, the referee decided not to give Wuhan a penalty because Tudorie was offside.

Wuhan went in front nine minutes later when Manuel Palacios set up Tudorie, who scored his sixth league goal of the season.

Wuhan kept up the pressure and benefited from a defensive error as Darlan Mendes found Gustavo Sauer for a header in the 32nd minute, making it 2-0.

Qingdao attacked in the 50th minute, but Wellington Silva's shot went wide.

In the 74th minute, Feng Boyuan scored but the goal was ruled offside and Three Towns won 2-0 to rise to 11th place. Qingdao are 15th.

In other action, Dalian Yingbo hosted Meizhou Hakka. In the 28th minute the fans held a huge TIFO to No. 28 player Fei Yu to bid farewell to the 34-year old Shanghai native who is retiring after playing 228 matches during his professional career.

In the 53rd minute, Cephas Malele won a shoulder barge and then crossed to Zhu Pengyu who slid in for a brilliant goal that proved to be the winner.

Fei Yu came into the field as a substitute at the end of the game. Malele put the captain's armband on Fei and the 59,000 fans gave him a resounding send off.

Fei fulfilled his dream of playing in the Chinese Super League three years ago at the age of 31, by helping Dalian Yingbo earn promotion to the top flight.
