Last week, Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities revoked the household registration of Chang Li-chi, a Taiwan youth residing on the Chinese mainland, citing his possession of a Mainland Residence Permit. According to mainland authorities, the permit is a temporary and transitional identity document and does not equate to obtaining a mainland household registration. In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Chang Li-chi pushed back against the DPP's decision, stating that it seriously harms the legitimate rights and interests of people like him.
