On the evening of June 14, the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) rolled out the red carpet for the dazzling Golden Goblet Gala, celebrating the enduring magic of cinema.

Held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, the event marked a historic double milestone - 130 years since the birth of world cinema and 120 years of Chinese film - with Shanghai proudly standing as the cradle of Chinese cinema.

More than 200 guests from China and around the world graced the red carpet, culminating in a show-stopping appearance by the Golden Goblet Awards jury, led by the renowned Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore. Jury members for the Asian New Talent, Documentary, Animation, and Short Film sections also made notable appearances.

Following the gala, SIFF's opening film "She's Got No Name" had its world premiere, accompanied by special screenings in more than 150 cinemas across Shanghai — bringing the celebration of cinema directly to local audiences.

Over the coming days, Tornatore and the other jury members are expected to deliberate on the nominated films in each category and select the best winners, with the awards ceremony taking place on June 21.
