SIFF2025 Golden Goblet lineup and jury announced

The jury for the Golden Goblet Awards Main Competition at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) was officially unveiled to the media on June 13. The panel is led by renowned Italian director and screenwriter Giuseppe Tornatore, best known for iconic films "Cinema Paradiso," "Malèna" and "The Legend of 1900." Joining him are Huang Bo, Yong Mei, Kiran Rao, Iván Fund, Thanassis Karathanos and Yang Lina.

The jury members expressed their excitement about engaging with outstanding works from filmmakers around the world at such a prestigious event. They also voiced their hope to uncover unexpected cinematic treasures and contribute to the legacy of SIFF by helping spotlight future classics.

This year, the Golden Goblet Awards received a record-breaking 3,900 submissions from 119 countries and regions. From this impressive pool, 12 films were selected for the highly anticipated Main Competition. Of these, 11 will have their world premieres, and one will make its international debut.
