The Shanghai Caoyang Cinema, originally named the Caoyang Theater, was built in 1959 and has a history spanning over six decades. It has hosted screenings for the Shanghai International Film Festival on multiple occasions. During this year's festival, the cinema reintroduced its classic 1970s ticket stub design alongside a range of other creative products. Its anime culture wall display and replicas of classic movie posters have become popular photo spots for film fans, breathing new life into this long-standing arts venue.
