China and Central Asia share a long history – one that began on ancient Silk Road routes and continues today on modern railways. Now, that connection is entering a new era. Expanding freight networks, ambitious infrastructure projects and new transport corridors are strengthening ties and redrawing trade routes across Eurasia.

In 2024 alone, China-Central Asia trade surged to $94.8 billion. Routes like the upcoming China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway and a 57-hour passenger journey from Xi'an to Almaty highlight how regional cooperation is turning vision into reality.

This isn't just about logistics – it's about the rise of the Global South. As countries collaborate more closely, their influence on global affairs continues to grow.
