This summer, a wave of concerts is sweeping through Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi Province, attracting large numbers of music fans and tourists. To accommodate the travel needs of concertgoers, local railway authorities have added eight nighttime high-speed train services to major cities, including Beijing, Xi'an and Zhengzhou. In 2024, Taiyuan hosted 32 concerts, drawing nearly 1 million attendees and generating over 4 billion yuan, or half a billion U.S. dollars, in consumption.
