On June 17 local time, CMG reporter Li Shuangxi traveled over 10 hours by car from Tehran, the capital of Iran, to the Bajgiran border crossing with Turkmenistan. As people from various countries continued to arrive, the reporter observed that Turkmenistan's entry policies were becoming increasingly restrictive. Staff from the Chinese Embassy in Iran had arrived at the border ahead of time to assist Chinese nationals with exit procedures.
