The Israeli military said early on Wednesday that it was conducting a series of strikes on parts of Iranian capital Tehran and it had earlier detected missiles launched from Iran.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said early on Wednesday that Iran must give a "strong response" to Israel as the conflict enters the sixth day.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Iran's health authorities said at least 224 people have been killed in Israeli strikes, and Israel said at least 24 people were killed by Iranian strikes.
U.S. President Donald Trump held phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after meeting with the national security team. He also called for Iran's "unconditional surrender" in a social media post.
