At least 585 people were killed across Iran and 1,326 others wounded since Israel began attacking Iran on Friday, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing a human rights group.

The Washington-based group Human Rights Activists said it had identified 239 of those killed in Israeli strikes as civilians and 126 as security personnel.

The Iranian health authorities have not confirmed the casualties figure. Earlier, it said 224 people were killed in the latest flare-up.

Israel said 24 people were killed in Iran's missile attacks.
