Israel and Iran continued to exchange attacks on Wednesday night and early Thursday, as the world watched to see whether the United States would join Israel in the conflict. Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Effie Defrin said in a video statement Wednesday night that the Israeli Air Force had launched new strikes in western Iran that evening.

On Thursday, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had carried out a precise strike on an Israeli military intelligence and command center located near a hospital. According to Defrin, there were three waves of Israeli air strikes over Iran in the past 24 hours, with the initial overnight operation involving more than 50 fighter jets targeting approximately 40 sites around Tehran.
