What makes a film resonate across continents? For Chinese director Huo Jianqi, it all comes down to one thing: humanity. In this interview, he reflects on how deeply human emotion transcends borders — from Asia to Africa, and from Europe to South America.
Filmed in the lush mountains of Hunan, "Postmen in the Mountains" has touched audiences around the world. Huo believes the same emotional power can be found in Africa's vast, awe-inspiring landscapes.
"You need to engage real life and nature to capture the most touching, unfiltered moments of expression," he says.
