The Chinese women's basketball team extended their winning streak to four games with a commanding 93-61 victory over Japan in their final Asia Cup warm-up game on Friday.

China took an early 26-23 lead in the first quarter and surged further ahead in the second, extending their advantage to double digits 51-31 by halftime. In the second half, Zhang Ru, Han Xu, and Yang Shuyu spearheaded a scoring spree, pushing the lead to 30 points. Japan attempted a comeback with an 8-0 run, but China maintained control to seal the victory.

Guard Wang Siyu led China with a game-high 17 points, while center Zhang Ziyu added 16 points and 4 rebounds, and Zhai Ruoyun contributed 11 points.

"We want to take this chance to train the team and adapt to the fast transition pace, so that we can go all out for the Asia Cup," said China head coach Gong Luming, noting that the current team is a mix of different ages and takes time to build chemistry. "But we will keep working."

China will next face Australia in Haikou, Hainan Province, on July 6, followed by a rematch in Changsha on July 8 as both teams gear up for the Asia Cup.
