The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival opened at the Shanghai Grand Theatre on June 14, guided by the China Film Administration and co-hosted by China Media Group and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Featuring over 400 domestic and international films screened throughout the city, the festival concluded on June 22.

Commemorating the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, the festival is capturing the attention of global audiences. Mahya Mirsadeghi from Iran, currently studying at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, noted that many people from Iran and other countries she knows had the opportunity to learn Chinese because of their love for Chinese films and television shows. They hope to enjoy Chinese films and television shows without translation. Mahya believes that this is a significant achievement of the influence of Chinese culture. She hopes China and Iran will have more cooperation in the field of filmmaking, integrating the long-standing cultures of the two countries into their joint works.
