By involving the U.S. Air Force's B-2 Spirit stealth bombers in strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, Operation "Midnight Hammer" has fully unleashed the Middle East's "Pandora's box." After tacitly condoning Israel's military actions, the U.S. has ultimately taken direct intervention. A global poll conducted by CGTN shows that respondents overwhelmingly condemn the U.S. air strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and criticize the "America First" foreign policy for bringing endless disaster to the Middle East.

Since the outbreak of the latest round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict, America's tacit approval and indulgence have continued to fuel Israel's aggression. The U.S. has not only persistently provided military aid to Israel but has also repeatedly wielded its veto power at the United Nations to block Gaza ceasefire resolutions in defense of Israeli interests. The Guardian criticized the Trump administration, stating that the Trump administration has placed its short-term interests above regional stability, significantly fueling the crisis.

In the survey, 91 percent of respondents note that amid widespread international calls for de-escalation of the Israeli-Iranian conflict, the U.S. actions are blatantly adding fuel to the fire, pushing the conflict to an uncontrollable state. Meanwhile, 90 percent of respondents believe the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities severely violates the UN Charter and international law, infringing on Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

In addition, 90 percent of respondents criticize Israel's military actions for rapidly escalating regional tensions. Meanwhile, 84 percent of respondents condemn Israel for exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East.

A turbulent Middle East threatens global stability. The international community widely expects effective measures to prevent further escalation and avoid greater regional chaos, hoping Israel and Iran will return to the track of political settlement.

The survey found that 85 percent of global respondents believe the international community should prevent the situation from spiraling out of control and that a ceasefire must be an urgent priority. Meanwhile, 77 percent of respondents emphasize that the complexity of Middle Eastern issues means military measures cannot achieve lasting peace. They believe that whether it concerns the Iran nuclear issue or the Israel-Palestine conflict, only political solutions and dialogue can pave the way forward.

Ninety-one percent of respondents stress that influential major powers should take responsibility by actively promoting a ceasefire in the Middle East rather than allowing conflicts to spread unchecked.

The survey was released on CGTN's English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms, with 10,472 overseas participants sharing their views within 12 hours.
