Tian Qichang was born in 1948. When he was young, his father was forcibly drafted to Taiwan. In 1979, Tian went to Hong Kong to find his relatives and finally reunited with his father. In the 1980s, he quit his job and founded a liaison office, where he delivered family letters for compatriots on both sides of the Straits. He also provided financial assistance to help poor families reunite in Hong Kong, alleviating the pain of separation caused by the rift of the times. #Taiwanthroughtheages
