Thousands of people protested Sunday against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and military spending, two days before the alliance's summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

NATO's annual summit is scheduled for June 24 to 25 under tight security, with leaders of member states expected to approve a defense spending target of 5 percent of GDP.
