Thousands of people took to the streets of The Hague to protest on June 22 against NATO and rising military spending before the summit that is seeking to increase their defense budgets.
Gathering at Koekamp Park, demonstrators marched along the main roads of The Hague all the way to the Peace Palace. During the annual meeting of the 32-nation alliance, the leaders will discuss an agreement on a hike in defense spending repeatedly demanded by the U.S.
