China is hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Defense Ministers' Meeting, which is currently underway in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province. Li Shuyin, a researcher with the People's Liberation Army's Academy of Military Sciences, says the SCO has grown more united in the face of global instability, with more countries choosing the organization as a platform to safeguard their interests and uphold regional security.
