On the first day after the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, a CGTN stringer visited the streets of Tehran and recorded a day of calm after the war. The stringer noted that while Tehran's streets were quieter than usual, traces of the conflict remained as posters of civilians killed in the war were seen across the city. More than 600 lives were lost nationwide. At a local market, people were slowly returning to their daily routines. Many felt relieved, but a sense of unease lingered. A resident said, "Everything's almost normal now. Hopefully, it stays this way, and there'll be no more war." Now, the city is trying to heal, balancing hope with the trauma left by the war.
