Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan in Beijing on Thursday.
The two countries have always respected and trusted each other, maintaining the momentum of bilateral cooperation, said Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
China is ready to work with Armenia to consolidate mutual trust, deepen cooperation, support the development and revitalization of both countries, and bring greater benefits to the two peoples, he said.
The Chinese foreign minister also called for practicing true multilateralism and jointly safeguarding the international system, with the United Nations at its core, and an international order based on international law.
Mirzoyan said Armenia will continue to adhere to the one-China policy and support China in safeguarding its core interests, expressing his willingness to deepen cooperation with China in various fields, including connectivity, economy and trade.
