The 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Cooperation and Development Forum was held in Shanghai on Wednesday, with car manufacturers, solution providers and experts discussing the latest trends in new energy vehicles.
China's car exports have recorded robust growth so far this year, with 2.49 million cars exported from January to May, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Among them, 855,000 were NEVs, a year-on-year increase of 64.6 percent.
Participants are optimistic to see the surge continue, but say localization should be the industry's future focus.
