Former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang party Ma Ying-jeou concluded his two-week visit with students from Taiwan to the Chinese mainland on June 27. This is Ma's fourth such visit since 2023, and the longest one so far, reflecting the urgent need to rebuild and strengthen peaceful channels of communication and interaction between both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
On June 26, he visited the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, northwest China's Gansu Province, and attended a seminar there to promote Chinese culture.
