China's Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen will start her campaign at this year's Wimbledon Championships with first-round opponent Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic after the main draw was revealed on Friday.

A total of five Chinese women's singles players - Zheng, Wang Xinyu, Zhu Lin, Yuan Yue and Zhang Shuai are in the main draw.

Zheng, 22, reached the third round in her first appearance at Wimbledon in 2022, but failed to pass the opening round in the last two years. As the fifth seed, Zheng will meet Siniakova on Monday.

Wang, who reached the Berlin Open final by beating newly-crowned French Open champion Coco Gauff, will face 15th-seeded Czech Karolina Muchova in the first round.

Zhu entered the main draw using a protected ranking. She reached the third round last year, which is her best Wimbledon performance to date.

Yuan is set to take on German rising star Noma Noha Akugue in their first-ever career meeting.

And 36-year-old Zhang defeated Lanlana Tararudee of Thailand in straight sets to secure qualification.

On the men's side, with Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng withdrawing due to injuries, Buyunchaokete becomes China's lone male contender. The 23-year-old qualified directly through ranking for his Wimbledon main-draw debut, drawing 29th-seeded American Brandon Nakashima in the opening round.
