The U.S. Senate on Friday rejected a bid to block U.S. President Donald Trump from using additional military force against Iran, just hours after the president said he would consider further bombing.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that if Trump wants a nuclear deal with Tehran, he should abandon his "unacceptable" tone toward the country's supreme leader Khamenei.
