Chinese dancers Guo Pu (B-Girl Royal) and Li Houhua (B-Boy Jason) won the girls and boys titles, respectively, at the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Asian Breaking Championship Youth in east China's Shanghai Municipality on Saturday.

In the girls final, Guo defeated Japan's Hiyo Yamada (B-Girl Hiyo) 3-0 with dynamic moves showcasing exceptional musicality. Japan's Cocoa Meguro (B-Girl Cocoa) earned the bronze medal.

"My musicality made the difference," said the 16-year-old Guo.

The boys final saw Li overcome Japan's Shunta Nakamura (B-Boy Lil Kong) 3-0 after landing consecutive air flares and complex freezes. His compatriot Tong Jierong (B-Boy Jierong) rounded out the podium with bronze.

"I'm thrilled with this result," said the 15-year-old Li. "My opponents were outstanding and deserve high respect."

The competition features 169 young breakers – 122 B-Boys and 47 B-Girls – competing at the Luwan Gymnasium.

The Asian Breaking Championship Adult finals will take place at the same venue on Sunday.
